Hike from ANDRIAN after Gaid, back via Sirmiano / NALS

Today brings us our Hiking day After Andrian, a small quiet village in the Überetsch Etschtal between the Alpine town Bolzano and the Spa town of Merano . We do starting after by ANDRIAN Gaid, a group of Appiano , wandern. From there we want in direction NALS go and then back to ANDRIAN. What me already in the advance in the planning Tour has stimulated, is very flat and therefore knee gentle descents Hiking tour. The ascent is but even steeper!

Von Andrian nach Gaid

We Park our car on the upper end of the village of ANDRIAN in a designated parking lot. The trail Nr. 15 leading us left with right next to the Andrianer stream in one red porphyry solid stunning Cliff upwards . The trail is extremely steep and slippery when wet surface certainly. Some wire rope backups and Holzstreppen are installed, because the slipping here quite large. We would go not down the path in the rain.

At the end of the steep section we reach Ruin Felsenstein Festenburg stone. The ruins Felsenstein Festenburg stone is about half of the climb and now introduces a not so steep section to the ascent to Gaid.

After approximately one hour we will Gaid at the the traditional Hut Moarhof at . Here we go a short, enjoy a hearty with Bacon, Kas und Gimmerlen belegtn Breatl (with Bacon, Cheese and cucumber finished flat bread).

(Digression: A man at the next table use with his Navigator: Garmin GPSMap 60 CSx around. I schiele shortly to him over, because I a birthday certificate for a Walking navigation device have had. That Garmin GPSMap 60 CSx and that Garmin Colorado 300 I am already shortlisted. The man at the next table notes, that I schiele to him over and asks me whether I me with GPS devices or. familiar with his Garmin GPS 60csx. I must unfortunately be denied, Maybe in a few weeks, When I decided that I tried and tested the Garmin GPSMap 60 CSX well readable anti-reflective display, the long battery life and the good satellite which give preference or prefer the new Garmin Colorado 300 with its great 3D cards and large display, the new guidance about the rock ´ n roller wheel, but unfortunately with weaknesses in the readability of the display and the lifetime of a battery pack.)

According to our Tourenbeschriebung we should now N the Steig. 5 take. Luckily the best friend of all asks quickly at the host where the way N. 5 Since start. The answer: “After, way number 5 There do ba in the nit” (a way N. 5 There is no us here). UPS, There seems something with our Hiking description not to vote. Anyway, the friendly host tells us, that we the Larchsteig towards Sirmiano / NALS can go. That seems to be our planned way.

The leading through the forest wide Larchsteig it is good to go, as he drops only slightly. We come out of the forest after approximately one hour and come on Bittner Court, surrounded by flowering Apple trees, literally seduced to the stop. Unfortunately we must continue, at home there is to do.

Now we go some 100 m on the asphalted road towards the South until we discover a sign ANDRIAN. From here a forest path leads us through the hillside by the nature until after ANDRIAN to our starting point.
