Furkelpass - Piz da Peres - high mountain lake - hiking in South Tyrol in the nature park of Fanes-SENES-Braies

In the series Mountain lakes in South Tyrol the RAI sender Bozen, was above circa 2 Months (27. August ) a circular walk of the Furkelsattel up to the Piz da Peres, next to the high mountain lake (High Alpine Lake), about the Lapedurscharte (2.252 m) down to the Hunter hut and from there back to the Furkelpass proposed. These Mountain tour in the Nature park Fanes-SENES Pragues want we to hiking today.

The directions of the Gardena Valley, Gardena pass and Val Badia to after St. San Vigilio DI MAREBBE and to the Furkel pass is quite time consuming.

To 12.41 Clock, we reach the car park at the Furkelpass, where in the winter, the ski carousel Kronplatz is the Lord in the House.

The best wife of all has also persuaded her brother to sister and brother-in-law to come. We wandern so five of the Three-finger wort and the Piz da Peres, and thus the way marked No.. 3 following , in the nature park Fanes-Sennes-Braies into.

The Hiking trail should according to the television report views of the Peitlerkofel, is it the Marmolata , the Kreuzkofel , offer the tens and nines. OK , We will now see the. Step by step we walk turns steeply uphill, then somewhat flatter, through the already autumn forest, until we a debris carpal, that at the same time the tree line marked, reach . At the foot of Kars, the way is still Rocky, but soon gives way to a schottrigen, steep, physically quite fear engend to begehendem Steep track.

The best wife of all and I sweat pretty neat until we finally on the three finger notch 180 get m below the Summit of Piz da Peres. Our three companions remain something back, so we both have plenty of time, us to look (West Piz da Peres, North with plan de Corones Val Pusteria, South Heiligkreuzkofel group) and a wind to protected cookies for lunch search.

Under the Piz da Peres

After food and drink, we decide to "disdain the cross on the Summit of Piz da Peres" (I will surely regret that) and directly up to the High Mountain Lake to wander. The mountain path n °. 3 is here very easily bewanderbar, so that we the views to the South on the Rocky Naturpark the Fanes could enjoy, If it were not so cold!

I mean the Croda del Becco to be able to see, the we before 2 Years on the basis of the Braies Lake are hiked up. The top of the carpal, the Col de Ricigon and the Sella di Sennes would have to be also there somewhere.

The high mountain lake

The High Alpine Lake, the the Ladins Le de Fojedöra call, is quite lonely on 2.252 m above sea level at the end of the Grünwald Valley, of which you could get to the Pragser Wildsee.

On grass slopes, the current leads us hike next to the Lapedures yoke. The descent is imminent. We leave the quiet landscape of grass and descend on the Lapedur-wort.

Now we must still return to the Furkelpass. Over at the Hunter lodge, the path n °. 32 following , We hike the at the North Slope Three finger and the Piz da Peres until the Furkelsattel back.

The hike from the Furkelsattel to the Piz da Peres, would be next to the high mountain lake and back via the Lapduresscharte to a slightly earlier time of the year, in particular due to temperatures, certainly more pleasant. With klappernden teeth mountain PAL in the back, it is difficult, with tranquility to enjoy the magnificent view of the wonderful mountain world of the Fanes ;-)

We, 1Flachländer with his wife, best and which has been on 27 Years 54/56 from the Saarland, avid hikers, us plan 2 Falls in love with years in the Dolomites, Since then, we spend every year a week here,
of the 18-28 June we are back in the mountain hotel "Zirm"

During this time, we want the tour
High mountain lake run Furkelpass - Piz da Peres-.

Why have ye made hut not visit on this tour to the Hochalm?
How it looks with head for heights on this tour?
Do know what is the lemming syndrome?
Can you still take the tour?

  4. Dietmar says:

    Hi Jürgen and Liane,

first thank you for your nice feedback.

    To your questions:
    - High Alpine says nothing me times. Been a while ago but, Perhaps that is why…
    - If you are not very sennsibel, would have to go. Is no climb, is very steep and long views is also available.
    - I don't know lemming syndrome, therefore I can say nothing to. If I but “Google” then I would say. Is not in the mountains! So I will break this topic most.

    Greetings

  5. Martin says:

    Hello Dietmar ,

Thank you for showing – It is a very nice, promising tour and very quiet! Despite beautiful weather, only a few people were on the move – on the return of the Lapedurscharte I've met anyone more.
Since I was the first time in the Dolomites, me has quite the buzz in some areas “slain”. Most lang- and I have Plattkofel on the round trip (CA . 17 km ) from the distance of the hiker a number of about 1000 extrapolated – given to, in a beautiful weather, but middle of the week.
The tour at the Piz because Peres incl. Summit climb (It is really worth – magnificent views!) was there a real recovery.
Well the Villnösstal liked – without unsightly winter sports facilities there is the magnificent chain of peaks in the view of the men climbing on the Aferer Geisler constantly. Here I met only two other hikers. My tour: http://www.gps-tour.info/de/touren/detail.89759.html
Unfortunately I did not have enough time, more such beautiful tours to find and carry out.

Greeting and a wanderbare time wishes
    Martin

  6. Dietmar says:

    Hi Martin,

Yes you're right, in the Dolomites, is regarding. Crowds really round. For all who want it quieter are such tips such as Villnössertal or also Pfunderer Valley (not Dolomites and beautiful) true insider tips ;-)

    Greetings
    Dietmar

  7. Günter Becker says:

    Hello @ all,

I have before pass the tour starting on the Piz da Peres of the Furkel ca. 3 Weeks during my Dobbiaco vacation made. It was a Sunday and at the Summit were determined 30 People. The view from the Summit was unique. I'm then also further migrated to the high mountain lake, where I have then met anyone more. Only on the high alpine hut some hikers were again to be found. There is already very remote. Through the Grünwald Valley I'm migrated further then up to the Pragser Wildsee. I have picked my car before the next day, of Bruneck, with the cable car to the Kronplatz and from there down to the Furkelpass, Since no bus connections to the Furkelpass more there. From the Crown space Summit (total ski circus, not nice for hiking, but great view) you had there also again a great view over Piz Peres.

  8. Dietmar says:

Hi Günther, has been a great tour safe. Auto pick up the next day, We also from time to make, then it comes on much distance….

  9. Günter says:

    Hello Dietmar ,
is true, a good idea may be to the car and later to pick up. But also the bus connections, You are good in South Tyrol in General, should you ignore, especially when it is several days in one place, as you in Sesto.
I am because of your hiking tour in the Carnic ridge of the 16.Aug. 2011. You are reversed on the Schönthalhöhe and migrated back to Sesto Roteck and Gorge Brook mountain. I think, You certainly further can walk to Euerem original destination Obstansersee. For the way back the exceeding of the Obstans saddle and the descent of the nemes would have offered itself then Alm to the Kreuzbergsattel. From there you can still in the evening to summer 19.00 Return hour by bus to Sesto. Would not continue as your route.
    Greeting Günter

  10. Günter says:

    Sorry, said course “Kreuzbergpass”

  11. Dietmar says:

Yes that would be certainly possible, but without previous planning we not given us such things. We must be sure always in advance, that also goes ;-)

    Greetings
    Dietmar
